The Legacy Racing Association started its 2024 season with the Parker Dam 500. Any desert race in the Parker, Arizona area is a special treat, but the buzz got going and attracted 130 cars registered for this revitalized event. Part of the attraction caught on with Class 1 unlimited racers as they organized a side bet and racked up fourteen entries, thus becoming the largest Class 1 field in quite some time.

Connor McMullen drove to an overall win, giving Alumicraft a sweep of the Class 1 podium. Chase Warren scored the Class 10 victory as well.

Legacy Racing Association has been doing a great job building its organization with fun and challenging racing. For the Parker Dam 500, officials organized an approximate loop course of 125 miles and three laps totaling a 350-mile race.

Connor McMullen qualified 9th overall and started his #1540 Alumicraft Class 1 buggy from that position. He completed all three of his laps in a total time of 5 hours, 35 minutes, and 45.545 seconds for 1st place overall victory. That was over three minutes faster than the 2nd place overall finisher of Jack Olliges in a brand new Unlimited Truck. In the #1568 Alumicraft, Cody Reid took 3rd place overall and 2nd in Class 1. Nicholas Carolan rounded out the Class 1 podium in 3rd place in his #1516 Alumicraft.
